| The enemies in Super Smash Bros. Brawl: The Subspace Emissary are called the Subspace Army!
Nintendo has kindly revealed to us some of ther more powerful foes we will face. <ROADER> Enter the motorcycle squad. Powerful in groups, weaker alone. <POPPANT> These guys apparently run from you…. <BYTAN> Kill before multiplication! only tip I can give you. <TROWLON> Works like a catapult to send you flying! <SHAYDAS> This unpleasant, fog-like enemy has a weak spot at the core of its chest! <AUROROS> This bird dives from above, piercing the ground. You can pull out any Auroros that sticks itself into the ground…and possibly use it as a weapon? hmmm….. <GREAP> It’s HUGE! It attacks by swinging two sickles down upon you. Its red head is its weak spot. <The R.O.B. Squad> The escort the Ancient Minister brings with him is a R.O.B squad?! There are some that fire beams and others that fire missiles. And there is still more enemies to come! So be ready! ~Joshua Cummins~ |
Brawl Update: Ice Climbers
September 15, 2007
![]() |
Today, Nintendo announced that Brawl will have something called Special Brawl. similiar to Halo custom games, it should be a nice addition to the SSB world.
Start up screen
As you can see, you can apply various rules to you rgames, when before you could only choose from a limited choice of game types like stamina.
Bunny Hood
And then add metal…
When you do this, you apply that characteristic from the start of the match to the end.
You can see the effects on the side of the screen, which is kind of fun. And getting the caption up above is also nice.
It’s a Stamina Mega Flower Curry Heavy Slow Angled Brawl!
And that’s how you fight!
Choose from a variety of of game types, make you rown, and post your ideas!

Brawl Update: New Stage!
September 12, 2007
Battleship Halberd was announced as a stage this early morning.
Looks good to me
This stage begins in a hangar on the seas. The platform follows the Halberd as it departs.
Dynamic?
Eventually, you land on the ship’s deck.
What you see in the background is a double-barreled battery.Complete with a robotronic arm that wants and will beat you to death.
Use extreme caution near the double-barreled battery! It launches beams and missiles and even attacks with its arm.
Might want to dodge that one…
The Battleship Halberd appears not only in multiplayer Brawl stages, but has also been seen in the Subspace Emissary, as to that we have no clue, but it shall be interesting. That role is something you’ll have to look forward to.
Here’s to Brawl!

Brawl Update: New Assist Trophy
September 11, 2007

A young girl from the Sacae plains, Lyn (whose true name is Lyndis) makes an appearance from the Game Boy Advance game Fire Emblem.
Lyn looks simple, but tough.
She wields what looks like a classical Japanese sword, so she’s similar to Samurai Goroh, but her strokes are more coordinated and flowing than his.
Building power…
Where did she go!?
The flash of a blade!
You will be mercilessly cut down if she hits you directly. If you call her forth as your ally, grab your enemies to make them easier for her to hit. Now that’s teamwork.

Brawl Update: New Pokemon!
September 10, 2007

Munchlax is the pre-evolved form of Snorlax.
It walks very slowly
He may be a carefree pokemon, but he is said to be quite the glutton…
An item appeared!
And he ate it….great!
Not sure what exactly he is true purpose is. But he seems to hurt other players by taking away there items. Maybe he evolves into Snorlax if he eats enough? Hmmm…

Brawl Update:My Music and a new song!
September 7, 2007
With the “My Music” feature, you can enjoy the music of the many musicians behind Brawl any way you like. Choose freely from a huge and diverse selection of famous (and not so famous) songs!
This is “My Music” in action!
The battle stages of Super Smash Bros. Brawl feature a diverse line-up of game worlds. For example, there are stages based on the Mario universe.
Basically, there is only one song that plays on each stage. But even among the myriad songs of the Mario universe, people probably have different favorite.
With that in mind, I think it’s a bit of a waste to limit that whole universe to just one song.
So Nintendo has prepared many songs and will let you choose the likelihood that any given song will be played.
This is “My Music” for Delfino Plaza.
For songs you’re particularly fond of, you can increase the likelihood those songs will appear. Then, when you brawl on that stage, the chance of your preferred songs being played increases.
Of course, if you want to, you can limit a stage to only one song, or make every song in the game equally likely to appear
And a new Item has been made know. A CD!
This is a CD.
Regardless of which mode you’re playing, if you see one of these, be absolutely sure to grab it. Because grabbing them adds to your music selection.
Also the pokemon stadium theme has been revealed. Well at least part of it has.

Brawl update: Pokemon Stadium 2 and Mario Specials
September 6, 2007
Ok so this time around we have Pokemon Staduim 2. Super up version of the stage from Melee. Now it starts off with the typical orthadox nothing going on arena.
But it will gradually shift Electricity,Flying, ground, and Ice. On top of that there is a guest pokemon in the background.
Mario Time!
His down special move for Brawl is F.L.U.D.D.
He can spray his enemies with spurt of water and send them flying off the stage!
Don’t worry you classic fighters, he still has his Mario Tornado move. It just isn’t his down special.

Brawl Update: META KNIGHT!

Brawl Update: Diddy Kong’s Special Moves
September 4, 2007
At long lat you guys can finally see what Diddy’s special moves are. And they are exactly what we expected them to be.
Standard Special Move: Peanut Popgun
Ahh, the nostalgia of remembrance…good ‘ol DK64
I’m sure you all remember his peanut gun right? Well you can increase speed of the shots you fire by holding down the button, but be careful….
Because if you hold it down to long, the gun overheats and explodes!!
And if the shell breaks and a peanut pops out, you get a health recovery item….a peanut!
He looks pretty excited…..
Up Special Move: Rocketbarrel Boost
My personal favorite, the rocket barrel boost!
If you charge this up before using it, your jump power increases as well as height. And if you tilt the control stick(or remote) as you charge it will change the angle of your flight.
Curveball
If you get attacked while riding your Rocketbarrel Blast, you will loose your lovely barrels and be ground bound…and your barrels have a mind of there own when this happens….
Run, Yoshi! Run!
All that remains now is the Final Smash….
