August 31, 2007

As you all know, in the Wariware games, you have 5 seconds to complete certain min-games.

Well, a new stage has been added to Super Smash Brothes Brawl in honor of Warioware.

Stay dry!

Dodge the arrows!

Jump out of the way!

This stage will have you thinking, “What is that?” “What is going on now?”

Every challenge cleared, is a reward gained…remember that.

The typical starting area looks like this.

Which floor will you smash? This or that?

Bond too return!

August 30, 2007

Activison has announced that they are going to be bringing a brand new James Bond game to both DS and the Wii. They haven’t released any details about it so far other then that it will be coming to the previously named systems. But a lot of people are thinking it will be based off a new Bonds movie to be coming out December 2008.

Some information that has been released is that Treyarch, Beenox and Vicarious Visions will be the developers in charge of bringing Bond to Nintendo’s systems. It will be interesting to see how it will turn out. I’m sure we will all miss the days of Rare making Bond…but we must live with what we have.

After purchasing the rights to James Bond from Electronic Arts in 2006 they have done nothing with James Bond  until now, hopefully Activision will be able to bring us all another Bond game equal to his Prime time game of Goldeneye for the N64.

We can only hope….

Brawl update: Gliding

August 30, 2007

Some characters wuth wings, like metaknight,Charizard, and Pit normally have the ability to fly right?

Well they can. In brawl all winged characters will be able to use them to their advantage.

screenshot

Sweet….

Based on the game, mastering this techinque could be VERY beneficial to your victory. That is assuming you can master them. Supposedly it will be a little difficult.

screenshot

First, mid-air jump

screenshot

Keep it held down, and you will begin gliding

There is another way, at the peak of the jump shake.tilt the controller to direct the jump into a glide..

screenshot

Tilt the stick down(or forward) to go down

screenshot

Tilt it up(or back) to angle high

Since it’s glider style, fights will be based on your angle. You can control speed and angle by tilting up or down.

screenshot

NO changing direction, so watch out.

If you stall or get attacked, your flight will stop and you will plummet back to earth…or death.

Most people have heard of the announced PC game Spore, or its counterpart announced for the DS. For those who haven’t, Spore is a simulation game where you start as a single celled organism that the you can eventually evolve and change until at one point you create an entire civilization! You then move on to other planets and galaxies…epic.

Up until this point Spore was  only going to be a DS and PC game. But some info was recently released at the Lepzig gaming convention by Maxis as to whether it will be coming to console.

Patrick Bushcher, the Maxis executive said this quote  when he was asked whether or not it would be coming to 360,PS3 or Wii, near you “Not right now. But we see it as a franchise, it just won’t be happening at the launch”.

So we can all expect a version of Spore for our respective consoles. Wii,360 and PS3. It will just happen sometime after the PC and DS release. So just sit tight for awhile and you should be able to experience it in console glory.

As you know the pokemon trainer has three different pokemon. Squirtle,Ivysaur, and Charizard. His down special is Pokemon Change, so that means each pokemon has his own special moves!!

Nine moves total.

Squirtle up special: Waterfall

screenshot

He will spew out some water and ride it right into you

Squirtle Side Special : Withdraw

screenshot

He goes into his shell and slides around on the ground

Ivysaur Standard Special : Bullet Seed

screenshot

Fires those seeds up in the air to take on air attackers

Ivysaur Up Special : Vine Whip

screenshot

It doubles as his tether move

Charizard Standard Special : Flamethrower

screenshot

My personal favorite, Charizard comes at you with a fiery blast of Flamethrower.

Charizard Side Special : Rock Smash

screenshot

I wasn’t expecting this to be honest, but a direct hit from this will deal serious damage.
Take care of your weaknesses by taking advantage of your strengths and fight your way through!

Andross

Well, guys Andross has been announced to appear in Brawl as an assist trophy! One of the coolest things about him is, he shows up in his classic form! The one from the original Star Fox.

screenshot

And he is just as ominous now as he was then…

screenshot

He swiftly moves to the back of the scene…

screenshot

Breath in….

screenshot

Breath out…wait….those are his polygonal squares!

He keeps firing his panels going from the back of the level to the front of the level. Better run, jump, or fly away, because theses things can hurt!

screenshot

See, they keep coming

Well this crazy evil head will be a helpful aid to anyone who calls upon him.
